Civil War in America

For years there has been a silent struggled which has grown in intensity and volume. Many people quietly sit on the sidelines while others freely voice their agendas.

We see this during elections where twenty-two percent of voters show up to cast their votes and the people in this country feel as if they have accomplished something.

This continues until people can no longer accept what has been forced upon them.

I had a series of dreams last night, which I will summarize here.

The first of these dreams involved a few soldiers (men and women) in a combat environment. Over time the enemy began wearing them down to the point of exhaustion. There where heavy casualties on both sides, but the enemy had another issue: their flesh was being eaten by a disease and their minds were being affected. They appeared to be intelligent "zombies". Some of our own people were beginning to show signs of the infection. We arranged for evacuation and a huge drop ship was sent to take us to safety, until we could figure out what to do next.

Just as we got our gear together, I noticed the engines on the evac firing up. I ran over and found it was taking off. Only I stood to see what happened next. Marines in huge helicopters arrived in their Service Uniforms, with weapons in one hand firing down lines of streets, while with the other they shouldered their duffel bags. I felt relieved, to know we had not lost and the fight would continue.

The second dream, was a bit bizarre to say the least. I was standing on the front spokes of a bicycle as my son peddled across a main section of our city (on US1 just two blocks north of Mason). There were two others on this bike including my wife who was on the back. I am unsure of who the forth person was, but I believe them to be female.

We came off a side street where my son flew through a line of people who were patiently waiting to enter a building. He kept moving and flew through another line where the people were also dressed in white and pink. I then noticed the buildings they were headed to had white walls and pink roofs.

The major streets had been shut down for this event, and street construction signs were flashing the words: "The papers have been signed." I remember thinking that President Obama, had ordered the government to stop defending marriage law on my birthday this year.

The people in this line were all gay and lesbians, many of which were proudly standing in line to get married while others were in line to be registered as newly freed citizens.

Sadly, these dreams are on in the same.

Many though they had won. Many thought this was over. All were completely ill prepared for what happened next:

The signer of "the papers" inadvertently starts a civil war, the likes of which have never been seen in history.

To stave off the impact of the flood which now reaches his door step, the President decides to target those who he had just set free.

No one wins. The Church, government, and nation all are shattered. With one voice a single question is voiced across all these broken people: "What have we become?"

The answer does not quickly come.

Only silence is heard.
